This Policy details the management of personal information by the ACCE Global Resources Group and in particular how information is:

We have chosen to conduct our business in a manner that is consistent with the National Privacy Principles in schedule 3 of the Privacy Act 1988 ("Act").

The nature of our business requires that we collect, use and disclose a substantial amount of personal information, in order to assist you in finding employment, or an employee. The Act defines personal information as:

information or an opinion relating to an individual that can be used to identify an individual.

The personal information the ACCE Global Resources Group collects may include:

• Health information
• Work history and experience
• Current salary

In most cases, if the personal information we request is not provided, we will not be able to supply our services, or be able to provide you with the level of service for which we promote our business.

The ACCE Global Resources Group will generally collect personal information directly from you by way of forms to be completed and/or interviews conducted either by telephone or in person.

The ACCE Global Resources Group may also collect personal information about you from third parties, such as a medical professional or referees.

We also use third parties to analyse traffic at our web site, which may involve the use of cookies. Information collected through such analysis is anonymous.

The ACCE Global Resources Group will use and disclose your personal information in order to assist you with finding employment or an employee and also to:

• Help us to develop & identify products & services that may interest you
• Answering any queries you may have
• Addressing any feedback or complaints you may have;
• Maintaining our relationship with you;
• Conducting market or customer service research;
• Developing, establishing and administering business alliances & other arrangements with other organisations in relation to the promotion, administration & use of our respective services;

Sending information overseas

The ACCE Global Resources Group may disclose your personal information to other members of the ACCE Global Resources Group including allied contacts located outside Australia.

When sending your personal information overseas to third parties, we will endeavour to obtain you consent, unless that consent is implied by the circumstances of our agreement.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that such third party recipients respect the confidentiality of this information by abiding by the NPP’s or equivalent privacy laws. Information may be transferred in certain other situations in accordance with the NPP’s.

Some personal information that we collect is ‘sensitive information’. Sensitive information includes information relating to your:

• Political opinions
• Religion
• Trade union or other professional or trade association membership
• Sexual preferences
• Criminal record
• Health information

Sensitive information will be used and disclosed only for the purpose for which it was provided, unless you agree otherwise, or where certain other limited circumstances apply.

Your information may be stored in hard copy or electronically. The ACCE Global Resources Group takes reasonable steps to protect personal information held from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Our physical security consists of locks and security systems over our premises.

Our computer and network safeguards include, but are not limited to:

• Restricting access to our computer systems and physical records to authorised persons and preventing users from accessing information they have no need to access;
• Requiring employees to use unique passwords to gain access to systems. These passwords are changed regularly and their use is independently monitored;
• Employing internal and external firewalls, intrusion detection systems, attachment filtering and virus scanning tools over our computer system.

Where we no longer require your personal information for a permitted purpose under the NPP’s, we will take reasonable steps to destroy it.

Subject to the exceptions set out in the Privacy Act you may gain access to the personal information that the ACCE Global Resources Group holds about you by contacting our directors. We will require you to verify your identity and to specify what information you require.
